GiftCertsOnline Comparison
GiftCertsOnline vs. PayPal Gift Certificates? It's no comparison really!
What are the advantages of using GiftCertsOnline versus PayPal's Gift Certificate service?
When you use PayPal's gift certificate program, you are allowing PayPal to hold your money until your customer redeems their purchase.
As you can read in PayPal's Gift Certificate user guide, proceeds from gift certificate sales are held in a pending balance account until the recipient redeems part or all of the gift certificate value or for 18 months from the purchase
date, whichever comes first.
When a gift certificate is only partially redeemed, proceeds from the redeemed portion only,
less the standard payment receiving fee, are transferred to your PayPal available balance. The
unredeemed portion of the gift certificate remains in the pending balance account.
This means that PayPal, not you, hold on to your customer's money. And your gift certificate recipients may take weeks, if not months(!) before redeeming those gift certificates.
At GiftCertsOnline, we believe that when your customer purchases a gift certificate from YOU, that their money goes to you, immediately. Why let PayPal hold on to your money and earn interest on the money that you've already earned?
Of course, in addition to offering the PayPal payment gateway,m we also offer the Authorize.net payment gateway, which means PayPal never sees your money (ever!)
Don't let PayPal earn interest off of YOUR money!
